You may wonder what in the world this video has to do with Professional DanceSport Photography? Well, I look back on my memories of hiking with friends (like Jason in the video) and realize it's capturing moments like these that originally inspired me to pick up a camera.
Back in 2008 I went hiking across National Parks and some rugged American wilderness and brought my brother's entry level DSLR with me. Since then I've found a camera in my hand more and more everyday. I've found that a camera's use goes beyond capturing memories; I cherish it as a tool to serve others. All of us have meaningful moments in our lives, and it's my goal as a photographer to capture and share them.
At all times I take pride in being extraordinary at everything that I do, and photography is no exception. Dance Legends 2012, which is currently featured on this site, was my first time ever photographing DanceSport Professionals. I learned a lot, made countless mistakes, and can't wait to do it again. I'm hoping to find myself at more Professional DanceSport events in the near future.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my site, and even more, to read this blog. I hope that this video of Jason and I gave you a good laugh, and that you remember that Xander Photography is here as a service to all of you. If you'd like for me to help you capture the moments that matter most to you, just ask.
